Key Ingredients

Wheat Flours

We source only wheat and whole wheat flours milled from high quality wheat grown in the US and Canada.

Authentic Ingredients

We start with Smiles and add in ingredients, many of which can be found in household pantries, such as cinnamon, sugar, honey, and cocoa powder.

Ingredients for Flavor


Cinnamon

We use ground cinnamon to provide the characteristic flavor for our Cinnamon Grahams.

Honey

Honey is a syrup produced by bees that we use to help deliver sweet flavor and aroma, in addition to a golden brown color in our Honey Grahams.

Vanilla Extract

Vanilla Extract contributes to the overall vanilla flavor experience in some of our varieties such as Vanilla Cupcake.

Semi Sweet Chocolate Powder

Semi Sweet Chocolate Powder helps to contribute to the chocolate flavor in our Chocolate Goldfish Grahams (S’mores, Fudge Brownie) and is derived from the cocoa plant.

Grahams Topical Seasonings

We use a variety of different seasonings for some of our Goldfish Grahams to help enhance the flavor experience.

Natural flavors

A common term for flavors which give products their distinctive tastes. Natural flavors, oils or extracts can be derived from a wide range of foods such as fruits, vegetables and herbs. We choose natural flavors in order to avoid using artificial flavors.

Brown Sugar

Brown Sugar is used to enhance the sweetness of Goldfish Grahams; this is the traditional brown sugar you can find in your cabinets at home.

Ingredients for Texture


Whole Wheat Flour

Derived from the wheat grain, the flours that we use in our Goldfish crackers help to provide a desired textural experience. This flour is milled to preserve the whole grains.

Enriched Wheat Flour

The flour is enriched with essential nutrients: niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2) and folic acid. The flour we use is made from soft red winter wheat grown in the US and Canada.

Ingredients for Color


Molasses

A dark syrup made from sugarcane provides texture, color, and the unique molasses flavor.

Corn Starch

Helps to give the shiny appearance on the top of our Goldfish Grahams.

Dutched Cocoa Powder

We use this dark colored and flavorful cocoa powder made from the cocoa plant to contribute to the chocolate flavor and appearance in our Goldfish Grahams (S’mores, Fudge Brownie).

Ingredients for Leavening


Leavening Agents

We use Baking Soda, Baking Powder, and Monocalcium Phosphate to help the crackers rise in the oven.

Genetically Modified Ingredients


In America, approximately 90% of all canola, corn, soybean and sugar beet crops are grown from genetically modified seeds. Farmers have been using these seeds for more than 20 years as they are safe, reduce costs and improve yields.

The ingredients in Goldfish Grahams that may be derived from these crops are:

- Corn flour, cornstarch, corn syrup solids, marshmallows, fructose

Soybean

- Soy lecithin

Sugar beet

- Invert syrup, molasses, semi sweet chocolate, brown sugar, caramel color, sugar, marshmallows, fructose

Non-GMO ingredients

All other ingredients including honey, cinnamon and vanilla extract are not genetically modified.

ALLERGENS

We know that allergen information is important to parents making choices for their children. If any of our products include one of the top eight allergens it is indicated in the ingredients list on the product label. The eight most common allergens are peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, fish, wheat, soy and shellfish. If a natural flavoring contains one of these allergens this is clearly indicated in parentheses in the ingredients list on the product label.
